Country Grey Chalk Paint from Annie Sloan (1 Ltr)

£18.95

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Country Grey is a putty colour using greenish raw umber, and is a really useful colour. It's terrific on its own and with white or for distressing as a top coat with Cream or Scandinavian Pink underneath. It is generally seen as a more rustic colour good for a country look rather than the Château Grey.
Another way to use it is to mix it into another colour such as Château Grey or Duck Egg Blue to make them paler and knocked back.

Chalk Paint decorative paint by Annie Sloan is made specifically for painting furniture. It is totally matt and ideal for distressing and then waxing. Suitable for wood, plastic, metal, stone and brick.

We also offer Annie Sloan painting workshops so please sign up for one if you live near our shop.

Coverage Information:
13 square metres (enough for 2 coats on a large dresser).

Order arrived very quickly. Great paint although it takes some practice to apply it correctly. Dries very quickly and needs to be applied quite thickly unless you want the underneath surface to show through. If you apply thinly this shows up when you wax. Having said that I am pleased with the end result and practice makes perfect !

  3. Beautiful paint and colours

First time I have tried this colour and I love it very French shabby chic, goes on great and coverage is brilliant. So far my favourite of Annie Sloan colours.

Great neutral colour, muddy, faded, muted, just what I was looking for.
First time I've used Annie Sloan paint, liked working with it straight away. Like the result so far, am keen to do the next stage and apply clear then dark wax to bring out character. Has transformed a pine dresser which has lovely mouldings but had been varnished orange colour. Looks soooo much better already.
Chalk Interirs service excellent. Packaging and delivery great. Will use again, very pleased. Thanks.

Although the product is quite good there are not enough instructions on the tin with regard to what you can paint with this paint, also drying times etc.

    Needs to have more instructions

  8. More cream than grey

Posted by Ben on 9th Sep 2013

Painted 2 sideboards and the paint has transformed dated pine units into something that I would have happily paid for!
Bit tricky to use as very thick and prone to runs but a bit of patience is rewarded with a very even finish and deep colour throughout.
Would say nothing like grey in colour more like a cream with green undertones, very nice and neutral though, really happy with purchase and service.

  9. new user of chalk paint.

Applied the first coat of paint and let it dry, then applying secound coat the paint under kept peeling away. therefore had to sand and restart. once covered not as smooth as i would have liked but ok. Please also not this is not a grey colour more beige.

  10. Not grey

This is a great neutral colour and so far I have used it over Scandinavian Red then distressed. Looks great but I would decribe it as a flesh tone, not grey.
